It’s going to be in the 90’s here in Seattle this week, so make sure you and your pets all stay cool! When I was leaving the zoo on Friday, the Seattle humane law enforcement was trying to help a dog who was left in a hot car with the window cracked open about two inches. I was speechless and incredibly saddened to see that! My car was so hot that I couldn’t breathe when I got into it. I cannot comprehend how anyone could put their own pet or any animal in harms way, or a dangerous situation. Think about how you would feel if you were in the same position as them. Would you treat yourself or your children the same way?! When you have a pet, you are their protector and they deserve to be loved and cared for at the highest level. It is your duty and responsibility to that animal. If you can’t offer that to them, then you should allow someone else to care for them. Please please keep your animals safe and cool!! I’m sure the dog in the car at the zoo is in a much cooler and safer place today. A huge thanks to the thoughtful person who made the call, and to the awesome Humane Law Enforcement officer who helped save that sweet dog’s life! If you see an animal in danger or being abused, please call your local police or animal shelter. Thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️
